1. This last week of the reading from chapter 16 was kind of a interest to me. I am not a fan of death my self and I can relate to a lot out of this chapter. The part of the chapter that interested me the most is "Death Anxiety" for chapter 16.2 page 607. Th reason why I chose this particular topic is because I have gone through many life experiences that had to deal with death. Death to me and maybe to others it's just not a pleasant thing to go through. What I do want to leave with this topic is that they state on page 607 last paragraph first sentence it states " death anxiety may have a beneficial side" first when I seen this sentence I was think to my self like how beneficial can this be and the question to that is that when we are friar of death we seem to want to live longer and you know what that is true.

2.  Like I said in the beginning I have had many life experience with death and one of them I have such high anxiety because of it. When I was in the military in 2007 I was I deployed to Afghanistan in 08 every one know sometimes people don't come back I knew that from the beginning. What I didn't know was going to hit me really hard, one night I was sleep it was my first week there and I waken up at 2am in the morning I put my uniform on walked out to the road where we all where walking to there was a line of soldiers from deferent parts of the world we all stood there looking around like what is going on and at that time we where told to stand down and salut we saluted to a soldiers who passed and was in a coffin they there was my first experience losing a battle buddy after that day I stood in that street so many more times to salut for other soldiers I can't even count it on my hands. So the chapter talks about death and how it effects and improves our life and I felt like I learned a lot of this chapter it has helped me realize for clearly about death.

3. What I would like to know more about is more ways to cope with death and maybe a way to help other soldiers like me who are out of service with PTSD to help them cope with the fact the of death and what we can do tot help other around us understand the concept of death with our loved one and even our pets.

1. This weeks reading was very interesting to me, but the topic that stood out the most was "Parkinson's Disease" in chapter 14 page 523. The reason being I took interest in this topic is because I my self have done research on this topic cause I am acutely being tested for this particular disease.

2. As I said before I am acutely going through the testing right now to see if I have it. The reason being why I am being tested for this is because I just resonantly finished my medical with the army and I was talking about thing that have been bothering me like my hands and my lower arms like my nerves are being pinched it's nots a pleasant feeling at all so my doctor talked me and told me that we should run some test to make sure what is really going on. So from him telling me what I might have, I decided to take some and do some homework on "Parkinson's Disease". When I was reading in the chapter in the that paragraph I didn't know that  Alhamid Ale had that disease, he was an athletic and a great boxer. It's unforchunatley they still don't what the actually is that makes us have Parkinson's disease but they know something ps but they still are not a 100% yet.

3. What I wound like to know more are is more ways to help to coupe with Parkinson's disease. If I had unlimited funs I would love to find a cure and to find out what really cause people to have these disease even if it's not even genetic related. One of these days we will be able to cure everything in world and when that happens that will be the day.

1. There was so many topics this week that seemed very interesting to me, it was very hard to pick what that one particular topic that pointed interest to me. I chose chapter 11 out of all of them but the other one that also caught my eye was chapter 13. The reason being why I chose these particular chapters was because one I am married and I love reading about marriage and stores about others peoples full fling marriage. The reason being why I also chose chapter 13 was because it is talking about making it in the midlife, what to expect and what not to except another reason being why I chose this is because my mother has also just started to go thru through the midlife.

2. There has been many real life experience that I have gone through but I haven't been through the midlife only with my mom while she was going through it. On the other note about marriage I chapter 11, I have had many life experience in my marriage, 'haha, I would hope so'. My husband and I have been high school sweet hearts we have known each other since we where kids. We dated off and on when we where kids growing up and then when we turned 18yr old we got married, I was still in high school my last year and my husband was in the national guard but we are the same age he is just six days older then I am, hahaha he thinks it's funny. At first our marriage seemed like a piece of cake and then it started to get rocking but we didn't let that stop us we have worked hard to understand each others feelings, wants and needs. Just because we where best friends from the begging and then high school sweet hearts doesn't mean that we where not going to have those bumps in the road. But now since we have been married longer we have actually grown closer towards each other it's taken us a long time. In chapter 13 I don't have a life experience my self, but my mom just started to go through this and it was a tough to watch her go through it. At first she wasn't sure what was going on she started to feel funny, her emotions where up and down. Finally she went in to the Dr and he ended up running test come to find out my mom just started to go through menopause and she wasn't to thrilled about it. It took her months to understand the fact that she is was going through it. It wasn't the fact that she knew she wouldn't be able to bare a child anymore cause she already made that choice long time ago, she just knew she was getting older.

3.    I would like to learn more about marriage and the feelings of the human body when to people are I love the way the body and mind works. There was many thing from then past chapters we had to read and ally of it taught me a lot about my self and the way other people are while growing up to be adult. I learned a lot from these past readings.

1. What interested me from the readings this weeks was from chapter 7, pg. 271 "Who Are Friends". At first when I came across this topic I knew just then it would be a great topic to read about and also talk about. The reason being this certain section interested me is because I have a childhood best friend and I have many friends but would I really call some of them friends? I wounded why is it that when we are children we usually find friendship that is the same race as us?

2. When I was a kid growing up I moved all over the place because my dad was in the navy after moving so many times and changing schools and making new friends it gets really frustrating when you are a kid having to make new friends all time. I never really had a problems with only picking friends that are my race, I grew up knowing that it is okay to friends with other people who are not in your ethic. Also when I was in the army you had to learn to work together and to treat everyone as a family. I have a best friend like I mentioned before we have known each other since we where kids she is my only best friend that is a girl. I am the type of person that gets along better when males then I do with females. Growing up I had many friends that where my age and some where just a year older. But my best friend she is amazing she is like a sister. In high school I didn't hangout with a bunch of girls it was always just me and my best friend and couple guys friends. My parents on the other hand wished I would of had more girls as friends but I always thought that guys where better at being friends they don't talk be hind your back and they are never trying to be better then you.

3. I wouldn't mind knowing more about how other cloture form friendships? I also wouldn't mind learning more about the brain and how it stimulates our destion making when we are choosing friends.  Overall I really enjoyed reading the chapters this week.

Reflection Blog 2

1.            Something that I thought that was interesting to me in these last two chapters that we read was out of chapter four, page 131 “Using Symbols”. The reason being that I chose this particular topic is because it still surprises me what kids learn by using just symbols to communicate with one another and sometimes we don’t even know it. The reason being why it interests me is because learning about how we develop and learn how to speak we use symbols to understand the way we speak and so other understand us. It also interests me the way infants communicate with one another using just symbols.

2.            I chose this because couple years ago I had a really good friend that had a son and he was only 1 years old at the time and we taught him how to say “Thank You”, “More”, “Please”, “Hunger”, and so many other things in sign language that by the time he was almost two he was really good at and a lot of people would be really surprised when they would see him. We using symbols now still as an adult and sometimes we have to use it in the real world when we are helping others like trying to help someone back up in there vehicle we use our hands to make symbols to show someone how to back up with out even having to speak it.

3.             There is lots that I would like to know more about, for example I wouldn’t mind learning more about how else we use symbols in the world. I also would like to learn more about how other people who can not speak how they live there day to day life if they cant speak or here and how symbols that people make help them out every day. I am a big fan of art and I think symbols, speaking, body language is all art it has its own rhythm and its own way of showing someone anyone what you are trying to say. It’s amazing the way the body works and the way we communicate when we are infants and they way others talk to infants.

Reflection Blog 1

1.     Something that caught my eye was when I was reading in Chapter 2 on pg.61 about “Mother’s Age”. The reason being I chose this interesting topic is because now days it seems like there are more teenagers these days getting pregnant then most older women, but I’m not saying I am completely right! I also think that when being a lot younger you think it would be easier for people to get pregnant but for most couples its hard it even get pregnant.  I always thought when I was in my early twenty that my husband and I would be able to have a family but even being healthy at that age and eating right you would think it would be easy. But now I will be thirty here soon in couple years and my whole family are always asking us what are we going to do and the answer to that is that we are going to be doing IVF for the very first time and hope and crossing our fingers that this time we will finally be able to have a family.  Its also asks on pg.61 in paragraph four “ Are older women better suited for Pregnancy?”, and I think yes because older women have developed all the way and usually cause afford to take care of there family then an average young adult who just graduated from high school.  I also didn’t know is that older women have difficulty pregnancies and more complicated labors but like I said you think being older it would be more easier for you to be able conceive and give and easy labor.
2.     Nothing like a life experience has happen this week but I do remember when I was in high school I was a senior getting ready to graduate from a very small, small country town in Athena, Oregon and one of my friends that was a year younger then was pregnant and she was a junior in high school that is scary when you still are living with your parents and you don’t have a job I watched here struggle but she ended up complete high school and pursuing a degree in Nursing. I am at the age now that my husband and I really don’t want to wait any longer and instead of taking that chance of never conceiving we are going to try the IVF and hopefully it works.
3.     I would like to know more about the older ages of pregnancy but I don’t want to get my mind worried of the situation.  If I had unlimited funds to do research on this I would do it.  The reason being is that there is many people just like me who are even more cereuses than I am. Of course if I had lots of energy and time do more research I would take the time out of my day to do it so I could understand it even more.  I would take more time to learn more about the age of women and conceiving and what could make it where more older women where having more children then younger adults.
